Dear AGEP-students, dear AGEP-alumni,
We would like to cordially invite you to the second webinar in the context of the AGEP. It will be a live streaming session of the International Alumni and Students Symposium jointly held by the International Small Enterprises Promotion and Training Program (SEPT) of the Leipzig University, the Master’s in International and Development Economics (MIDE) program of the University of Applied Science (HTW) Berlin, the Master of Arts in Development Management program of the Ruhr University Bochum and the Master in Vocational Education and Personnel Capacity Building program of the Technical University Dresden on the topic of “Entrepreneurs, firms and business membership organizations: their role in politics and development“.
When: Wednesday 29th October 2014, 09.30 to 12.30 CET
Where: http://alumniportal-deutschland.de/webinar-agep-entrepreneur
The goal of this live streaming session is to get a deeper understanding of the role businesses and business-membership-organizations have within the political context. Many questions arise from the reflection about the extent and the positive and negative effects of the influence of private players in different levels of the political institutions. The speakers will enrich the discussion with two key-note presentations. The first is related to economic policies regarding the role of entrepreneurs and firms and the second about the interplay of private and the public sector, including an overview on obstacles and options concerning this interaction.
High-profile speakers will present their views and discuss their various perspectives with alumni and students of the five programs convening the seminar.
The webinar will be held in English and streamed live from the alumni seminar at University Leipzig to The AGEP-Network Group on the Alumniportal Deutschland: http://alumniportal-deutschland.de/group-agep-alumni.
In order to be able to take part in the session, all you have to do is join the Alumniportal Deutschland if you have not already done so (it is the largest online platform for international cooperation and completely free of charge) and become a member of The AGEP-Network Group (see link above). Joining the network is of course free of charge.
If you cannot make it to the live session, the record of the webinar session will be uploaded to the group soon after the session, so that you do not have to miss out on the presentation and discussion.
We are looking forward to seeing you online soon and to vivid discussions!
